Our Story
Our Story: The Handshake of a Building
The Philosophy of the First Touch
At Artist Handles, we believe that a door handle is more than a utility—it is the handshake of a building. It is the first physical point of contact between a person and a space, a silent introduction that sets the tone for everything that lies beyond the threshold.
We don't manufacture hardware; we curate experiences. Our studio was founded on the singular conviction that the objects we touch every day should be as inspiring as the art we hang on our walls.
Hardware as Sculpture
Born from a collective of designers and master craftsmen with over 30 years of experience in the luxury sector, Artist Handles was created to fill a void in the modern architectural landscape. We saw a world of mass-produced, hollow-feeling hardware and chose a different path.
Every piece in our collection—from the sweeping, ergonomic curves of The Da Vinci Ratio to the defiant geometry of The Bauhaus Pull—is treated as a standalone sculpture. We obsess over the "heft"—that reassuring weight of solid-cast metal that signals permanence and quality the moment your hand meets the grip.
The Artist’s Signature
Our naming convention is our promise by invoking the spirits of history’s greatest visionaries, like Dalí, Klimt, Mondrian, etc. We commit ourselves to a standard of aesthetic rigor.
-
Uncompromising Materials: We work exclusively with high-grade brass, bronze, and stainless steel.
-
Hand-Finished Precision: Each handle is hand-polished and inspected in our studio, ensuring that no two pieces are identical, yet every piece is perfect.
-
Sustainable Heritage: We design for generations, not seasons. Our "living finishes" are intended to age gracefully, developing a unique patina that tells the story of the home it inhabits.
For the Visionaries
Artist Handles exists for the architects who sweat the smallest details, the designers who refuse to settle for "standard," and the homeowners who understand that true luxury is found in the things you touch every day.
